The Ugandan Parliament is due to vote on an anti-homosexuality bill which it hopes to pass by the end of the year.
Some countries have called for foreign aid to be stopped if the law is passed.
The bill initially called for the death penalty but was dropped amid international outcry.
But activists in Uganda say the revised legislation still encourages violence against people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.
